Steam and Hot Liquids
Everyone knows that flash fires, and arc flashes are a huge safety risk on work sites. What some people forget to think about, is how damaging steam and hot liquids can be. This is such an afterthought, that most FR clothing doesn’t protect from these dangers at all! Davey Textile Solutions, a good friend of Direct Workwear’s, are setting out to change that. They’re currently in the process of finding a material that is comfortable and still able to protect from these overlooked hazards. They have some really interesting videos that highlight the risks of steam and hot liquids, as well as what they’re doing to combat it.
